Hello! My name is Matt Adams. I'm a native New Yorker and I love to make videos. I started as a producer with the popular NYC-based prank collective, Improv Everywhere. As a member of the group, I saw a larger opportunity outside of what we were doing on YouTube and had the opportunity to direct a film about what we were doing which premiered at SXSW. After our festival run, the film was licensed by Netflix and can currently be accessed across most major digital platforms.
When the film was finished, I worked as a video journalist in Syracuse, New York and it was there that I met my wife, a native of Austria. Flash forward to six years later, we now live in Austria, I'm learning German, and we are currently based in Graz, Austria, where I am working on a range of creative projects in my studio.
My main project at the moment is called, "The Maskalorian" which is exactly what it sounds like. Over the past year and a half, the project has gained close to 60k followers between TikTok and Facebook. Below, you can see the first video that introduced the character. The Washington Post recently did a feature on the project which can be seen here.
I also maintain a weekly blog called, "Ruby Tuesday" with new stories every Tuesday. My mother suffers from memory issues and I wanted to create a place online where people could share stories about her incredible life. Humans of New York did a great job covering her story.
If you have any questions or just want to say hello, please don't hesitate to send me a message.
